1) In order to make the fish eat more and better appetite, you have to increase their metabolism. Don't turn on the heater, let the fishes feel cold and the fishes will use more energies in order to generate heat to keep them warm like human.

My say : At 1st, it sound logical to me, like human, cold weather we are tend to feel hungry easily because we use more energy in order to keep us warm. But wait, fishes should be cold blood creature isn't it? Their body temperature should follow the surrounding temperature. This explain why when fishes not eating, so many ppl will advise to turn on the heater to increase it's appetite.

2) To make your fishes grow big and fast, you need to feed your discus 7 times a day, WC twice a day and at the end of the day, you need to scrub your tank walls.

My say: I really did all the above the supposedly master in the discus world told me to do. In the end, all my discus became stunted and grew very little. I concluded that the discus would be more stressed due to my hands stirring the water too often, making them frighten. Also feeding 7 times a day would just make the discus shit more...i.e. more input = more output.
