thats the problemato.

I think it is impt to get facts rite. If its cross breed with faded mother. BETTER CALL IT FADED KML.

there is such a breed called faded kml. Breeders has a duty to ensure what hobbyists is keeping, knows what they r keeping.

My stand here is just to make things clear. Not hitting anyone. We are nice bros here. So I'd just better voice my knoweldge to see if u guys think likewise?

Used to have a popular breed called Rainbow King. This breed has high possibility of fading due to parentage.

Yes,Most of old JH breed had the high percentage of fading when adult due to their parentage even the one with full Pearl Dot hold over the body also fading when adult. If the breeder use this type of female to cross, the percentage of fading is high when it grow older. As I mansion before, most of the breeder now call their fishes Kamalau due to they can sell it with higher price.

Now, got many new guy jump in to become a breeder. They just use high price to buy the good quality pair for breeding and they do not know the parentage of those pair came from,So,they themself also do not know their fishes will turn to fading when grow bigger. This is sad to know my friend. The new guy/ppl/hobbyist will be hit hard again one more time due to they did not know the outcome of those fishes.Hope this will stop. Not like the old time,a lot of PPL been hit hard just like this.At the end FH/LH again will become not popular again.

I've seen faded JH with full pearls...kind of nice.

I think they used such female to breed because will produce offsprings with rainbow colours. I used to have a JH which is red, pink, yellow, greenish and shiny. Lucky it did not fade on me.

Now LH with pearls covering face and head all kamalau :stick_out_tongue:

Nice to hear that there are new breeders around. I believe the demand for high quality LHs are there.

Once bitten twice shy so breeders if selling at high price better assure buyers of the quality of their fries.

Yes,fading with all the black mark gone is good. The fish will turn to some thing like SRT look or even better look.If fading completely still left some black mark will be disappointed my friend.

FYI, now a day, breeders seldom use this kind of female to breed due to fading percentage is high and the quality of the off spring is low.Only the new breeders that just jump in to breed. They do not know the history of those pair came from.Newby/PPL/Hobbyist out there, make sure you make a survey first before buying any fishes or ask around from the experience guy.Cheer!

Btw do u come across someone selling faded KML..?

what possibility that i can think of is that they try to get a new type of look.from such pair..but are u sure the result are sold as kamalau?

another ,it could be by chance , and only being discover after the fish fade.

i remember years back when i bought a Jh which consider beautiful....then one day it fade . the breeder then name those fade one Pink panther:big_smile: :stick_out_tongue:

so maybe the not fade one become kamalu and the fade one become fade KML:big_smile:

haha, dunt worry bro. i not hitting anyone. but wan to get things rite.

I knw of someone who sells Faded KML, and name it Faded KML. So this seller is ok.

But many others, like what kingkml says, they just jump in to breed w/o knowing the parentage history then sell as KML.....this type of instant breeder really annoys me....HA!
