Ok, so in chinatown, I see KKP fry for sale. They look more like Bloods, but with a more stout body, better fins, and a better quality to them. I think, that breeders and shops, distinguish KKP, from Darmo/Mammon parrots. But anyways, let me know what you think of these, and if they, or one or some may fit your bill as KKp's.

I think they are normal BPs.
Try asking MOD to shift this thread to cichlids section for better response.

Well, from the look at the front, it looks close to being a BP. But who knows, if u feed it well and pump it well, it could turn out to be a Darmo, as from the pic, I could only see it as a very young fish and the mouth does not look so protuding as a BP. BP has very hump protuding mouths and their nostrils are huge.
To further add on from your concerns on various breed such as Darmo, Mammon and KKP.
From my experience and observations, mammon is a controlled breed and normally comes in deep red. They obviously have humpy heads but i would suggest not all but a majority would turn out well. Thus, its a expensive breed.
As for Darmo, i find mostly are in deep orangy or normal orangy-red. They have open smile mouths. Its only when they reach adult stage, they have a tight small humpy head.
Lastly, KKP has a mixture of many colours as in deep orangy-red, normal red or orangy. Mostly have close mouth and rather aggresive. Their heads could be as humpy as mammon or even slightly bigger.
I'm still looking into these breeds and wanting to sit down to discuss over with an expert from china and taiwan. Still learning.
