Many breeders claim they have GM still. How come no more GM? Do you mean pure breed GM?

what i feel is this LH close to being a Golden Monkey
cause body is golden coloured
and the face look like real monkey
with the face red in colour

They called it Kamalau. So is Kamalau breed = GM?
kamalau is Cantonese dialect meaning
kam= gold
malau=monkey
which KamFa also from same dielect
kam=gold
Fa= flower
where as JingHua is Mandarin meaning
jing= gold
hua= flower

Ok, points noted. No doubt no more 100% pure breed, cross breed of LH now really eye opener! Every breeder is moving forward, not backward. Just like bettas, now gold, platinum gold, monster and other variants etc really spice up the betta world...I wouldn't want to just buy those originally fighters for appreciation:huh:

Tell u a story......i used to be JH fanatics , one day in the year 2003 or 4 i participate in a comp at expo using my A series which at that time power but as it a JH, lack of colour, . when all the fish are in the tank , wow i saw this one particular fish which doesnt look like a ZZ to me, i know my Jh will not stand a chance, true enought that fish become champ in Cat B. it bro Chun han KGM....There i start to hunt for such breed and fortunately i manage to tikum one:big_smile:

this was the fish which to me dont look like a zz or JH

this is imported by H23 then from Malaysia, H23 bring in few batches then, subsequently the sibling which have grown up being inbreed, i believe bro hascute one is one of it decendent:big_smile: As this gene has been breed with diff male, i believe the are few different type produce.
this type have fine lining and pearl which are not like zz which is shining and thick:big_smile:
another thing to note is the head lining normally cant be seen when young but subsequently will spead when it grow

Some expert told me that Kamalau is 金玛骝 and it is not Golden Golden breed :wink:

I noticed GM has dropping "throat" (don't know what the that part is called) and the ****** connecting from the throat to anaal fin is rectangular in shape.

I also noticed the upper body is larger than lower part.
