i just noticed today my flowerhorn developed like a white spot in the middle of his bottom lip. is this something i should be worrying about?

this started today after i put in my parrot fish yesterday. the flowerhorn seems to be pecking the shit out of my parrot tho because there are scales littered all over the fish tank floor :crying: but it doesnt seem like my parrot is dying. maybe it takes them a lil while to get used to each other? is there anything i can do to make them get along?

Flowerhorns want to be the king in an individual indoor tank. Thus, should you place just one parrot with the flowerhorn. The parrot will certainly get attacked.

You will see them trying to test each other for the start and thinking they will get along. They do this a while for several hours. After that, when the flowerhorn gets hungry or gets irritated, the flowerhorn will start to chase the parrot away.

Hence, try not to leave the parrot with the flowerhorn too long such as for a week or even few days. Many get misunderstood by seeing pics of flowerhorn with parrots, but actually these parrots were placed a while in the tank to allow the flowerhorn flare and show its vibrant colours for training, unless they have succeeded in mating the flowerhorn with a female parrot.

Try applying general aid medication for your flowerhorn as you have sighted some white spots which you are uncertain.

Another factor is parasites and baterior will develop should the parrot being injured. This will spread to the flowerhorn. Do take care of this situation, once you understand this areas of obsevation. You will then move next level to understand why at times I emphasis not to feed live fish feeder to flowerhorns.
