Will algae choked up the filter media of bio rings, bacteria house?

Cos my dry trickle filter is next to window and algae has been growing and i washed it away but it is so tedious.

Just wondering if its OK to leave it alone and will it affect the bacteria colony? But u know algae has also a fishy smell.

to some extend, algae is good for the fish... but not nice to see lor

can hardly see the fish

I had the same problems with my tanks at the balcony.

Can try using UV-light to solve the "green water" problems :smile:

Bro, the algae is in the dry trickle box growing on the bacteria house. Those in hte fish tank is ok.

My concern is that it will choke the bacteria colony.
