hello swam38, your concerns r noted. But before that, we would all need more infor in order to assist n help to provide better understanding for causes of cloudy water.

- whats the age of your tankset up with water? If its 1-3 days old of a newly setup tank, very likely is due to insufficient of bb to build up the cycle of filteration. some set ups can build up bb fast due to aged filteration medias..and some set ups cant build up fast due to all brand new filteration medias being used. Thus, alot of areas r needed to observe n do trial n errors to fix up the prob..

- if its not due to filteration system whereby after 1-2 months u experience cloudy water...then we need to know how regularly u feed your fish and what food do u feed. This is bcos at times, live food is not finished, the waste food could be very likely contaminating your water. If your fish eats up all the food n u find no traces of waste food, check out any waste food being sucked into the filter box. If there isnt any, I could only think of two causes, first is the waste food could hv dissolved into the filter box and the second is the fish produces excessive ammonia due to eatting much food cause by regular feeding

lets kick start frm the above two common factors n we see how to fix up your concerns. hope it helps.
