Need some comments and advices,

Can we place a Glass Tank at the outdoor garden? Thought of leaving a glass tank outside the garden for some experimental breeding purpose. Will it be able to withstand the rain n shine conditions? Will the Glass crack upon sun shine over long term?:)

thks for all comments. dun mind abt algae. Will place sucker fish. But will the glass crack? will too hot sunshine make the glass weak?or silicone giving way ?

sucker fish will not help much on solving the algae problem.

Just curious, why to place your tank outdoor? To build the green water effect?

If you tank is placed outdoor with any shelter then there is a possibility that the silicone used may not able to withstand the pressure and temperature.

Unlike marine tank, the silicone used are of different grade than those for feshwater tank and likewise the thickness of the glass too.

Fyi, I have marine tanks (12mm all sides) place outside the house with a roof shelter but being exposed to direct sunlight in the afternoon.

thks for enriching infor. seems glass tank not too good idea of placing outdoors w/o shelter. Think better to be safe on freshwater tanks to place indoor.:)
