That was the past, daily grooming done by my wife. Now, only once a week, due to new family member. But at least bath and groom once a week, done by The Servent - Me. Now, she belong to my wife but responsibility on me.

as for me, everything is done by me. No choice I was the one who wanted to keep dog in the first place. I do the bathing once a week and send him down to groomer once a month.

My grooming is done every 5 to 6 weeks, $35 per visit (Full grooming). My dried food is very minimal, only use auto-feeder if I am away for the short weekend. I prepare home-cooked food for my dog, mainly minced mutton, one or two types of vegetable and brown rice. Once or twice a week, I will add other food stuff like pig liver, pig heart, hard boiled eggs, potatoes/sweet pototoes.
I will mix different supplement like fish oil, olive oils, calcium and Nupro in the daily food.

Monthly expenses about - $50.

y dun u try giving pellets? they are more convenient and cheap. i myself haf 2 dogs, jrt and st. i order 1 40lbs pack every 5-6 mths, $75/pkt. they do sell in smaller packs too. grooming i onli do for the st abt once every 2-3 weeks cos i got a 19mths junior at home. onli bathe the jrt, no grooming needed.:p

I go for MS because this breed doesn't "shed" hair. The dead hair will be stuck in the long coat, therefore just need combing to get rid of the dead hair.
As for the home cooked food, I learned that it will reduce the risk of your dog getting "stones". Anyway, it's not troublesome to me. :)

ya, I could have chosne many other breeds instead of MS, if not because of the "hair" issue. But after spending one year plus with MS, I find them get along pretty well with children.

I think you got a very poor excuse to keep those dogs now. If you really got asthma...dun keep any pets!!!!!!

hair is not the cause of asthma, but if have asthma due to whatever reason, then pet's hair is a problem.
