Aiya...why are BP so shy????
I had 21 BP in my 2ft tank in the office...just dun know why after 2 week liao, they still so shy and scare...
when someone come to my room or 1 stand up...all just hide to 1 corner...behind the filter
Initially, I got only 9...then I thought 9 probably too little and they may be better in bigger group, but with 21 now, they still the same...a few just hide below the filter a nd will never come up at all even i feed them food. Adn funny is they only swim at 1 side of the tank, the other side which water came down and they will never swim near...I wonder is it because of this...
But my home one not that shy lei, now when I walk near only, they will come near to to the tank knowing I will feed them food like tat...so cute, sometime they will follow my figure swimming left and right...
so cute...just love them all:big_smile:

Thanks for sharing, just some pointers :
- try to ensure adequate nos of BP in a suitable sized tank. Too many will crash the bio load of the water condition, ie, excess ammonia, nitrite..etc,
- Out of the 21 nos of BP u have, try to observe those weaker ones that gets bullied and these weaker BPs need to be taken out for treatment,
- BP normally takes longer to tame when young. Placing more nos will only help a little, and perhaps could try placing some drift wood or plastic plants to allow them to feel cozy and confident. Placing some base rocks will also help to reduce stress of BP,
- Besides BP pellets, BP could also eat small koi pellets and or flowerhorn pellets,
Happy BP keeping. And hope they grow huge.

Yup/....In my office..I already put in swift wood and plastic plant...but after a week, notice they remain the same...so utimately, my conclusion was may be due to they still unable to get use of the environment as I move in and out, sometime I may be whole day not in office, and when weekday where they finally get use a bit only, over the weekend end up no one in office again, so every mon they will hide like hell when i come back.
I had decide to move some to my house which they can have ppl walking around more often, it seem better this way..hahha
