A wide range. depandant on level of hobbyist. Some can have flowerhorns living well with arowana, tigers and even chilids.

Anyone can add on to the list?:)

LH with Aro i saw it before (Marine parade), but tigers and cichlids, i think the tigers will be black like charcoal, cichlids become LH feeder :D

My last LH will kill anything in his tank ... very dominating ...

U name it, tried alomost all affordable species and ofcos not the expensives type...

So it will depends on temperment of your LH ...

Some LH will even get bullied by BP ... :crying:

would it matter how big the tank mate is?
my FH is around 2-4" inches right now, and if i were to buy a tank mate it would be a baby red parrot. im assuming its going to be around 1-2" inches (bcuz its all i can afford.. my local fish store selling 2 baby red parrots for only $15)

well, i m sure your parrots fish will suffer at that size, may even end up as meals to your Flowerhorn.

well i just bought a red parrot fish today and it is a decent size. not as big as my flowerhorn but its not small enough to the point where my flowerhorn can swallow it whole either. my flowerhorn seems to be really agressive towards it tho. either aggressive or he is having fun with a tank mate because it wont stop bothering the red parrot haha. it will keep on trying to chase the red parrot down and tries to bite at one of the fins. i've been watching it as its been almost 3 hours since i put in the red parrot and no fins seem to be damaged yet.

hopefully they will adapt and get along with each other :)

Years ago, I had a pair of parrot. Unfortunately the male died. Anyway he cant fertilise any of the eggs the female laid.

I gave it to my uncle who has a LH bought from Thailand. They bred n hav tons of babies.

So things like that do happen!

Lets sum it up ..

Flowerhorns Tankmates :

- sucker must be bigger size than the flowerhorn and to include another mate to distract the aggresive flowerhorn. Gradually they'll be like a community and these need skills to implement,

- blood parrot or kkparrot must be bigger or at least adult size of blood parrot or kkparrot ie, min of 3 inches. These are used as short spells to train the flowerhorn and advisable not to leave bp or kkp too long. This in turn needs skill to observe and at times the flowerhorn might accept the bp or kkp as tankmates,

Flowerhorn's prey :

- No discus,
- No guppy,
- No betta,
- No Goldfish,
- No small sized bp/kkp/pleco,

Anything else to include in or be corrected, please feel free to add in.

Lets work it on for everyone's benefit..

Recently, bought 2 small bp while during the visit at the cave, put it with my 2 small LH, 2 days only, suprising one of the bp was killed by this small lh (which the size is much smaller than the bp). :crying:

the way i look at it, if the fish is the same size or even a little bit bigger than the flowerhorn than it wouldnt matter would it? well, that is unless the flowerhorn is very aggressive.

i think no one is compatible with flowerhorns cuz they are so aggressive. some even kill those plecos and those parrots. so yea
