Bro, Altis or Corolla is the same car. Older model made in Japan is Toyota Corolla and newer model made in Thailand is Toyota Corolla Altis.
My Corolla is doing fine with 4 adults and 2 kids whenever we travel to M'sia. However, I can forsee that I might need a bigger car when the kids are bigger or add another baby :D

i think car prices are in their lowest in history, at least for past few years. 30-40k now can easily buy a salon car (some korean or m'sian car) but the same amount few years back, can only buy that piece of COE.

Altis helps fuel consumption. Maintenance more economical compared to many.:)

I believe the future is to face out petrol cars.
But hybrid cars are not cheap, to face out petrol cars in future the Gov needs to support the infarstucture of electrical points to charge the cars replacing petrol stations. NOt sure if that is possible, for sure we will be around to see that change.

I believe toyota and honda have introduce the hybrid in Singapore
Toyota Prius and Honda Civic if not mistaken. According to review, Hybrid toyota prius is better in comparison with Hybrid Honda civic

I was suppose to sign up with Borneo on a Altis, but end up buying the Latio instead as my wife and kids prefers the interior of the latio. But i still think that the exterior looks crap compared with the altis.

yeah, i saw many toyota hybrids in the toyota showroom in tokyo. they're still too expensive and japanese here still would rather pay lesser to get a car running on petrol, although they are very environmentally friendly. who'd rather fork out more money for the environment?
but are hybrids, or electric cars, truly environmentally friendly? i have doubts. the amount of fuel burnt to produce the electricity needed to run or charge a hybrid/electric car is actually more than the petrol expended in a petrol car for the same distance. :(
