My wife requires the anti virus and firewall installed on her office PC. (not heavy users, only go online occassionally)

What would be the most effective, economical software to get and where to get them? Any good freeware I could use??

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, only for one year. I got it from Funan.
So far so good. Scan everything (depends on your setting) once bootup and warning given when downloading software making system unstable, etc, etc.

If you don't need all the fancy GUI, try not to go for norton, hogs up alot of memory

i would recommend anti-virus (Kaspersky) + Fire-Wall (Kaspersky) most effective protection tools that i'm currently using after tried others.....opps do remember to install System Mechanic V.6 to maintain your system.

cheers:)
