If i know then some of my fishes dun get short gills liao...hahah


But generally i would say its really bad water condition and diet i.e lack of calcium? Some ppl say that pumping the babies at a very early stage is the main culprit.

was at Colin's place on sunday and have a shared of knowledge on this as well... actually depending on the condition of the short gills, there are 2 different causes to it...shortage of oxygen and genes...

short gills is due to genes?
