Bro, true enough that keep in white tank,you could maintain the level faster but you can't obtain the goldish color of the fish.
Based on my experience, if the fish is young, i will advise to keep in the white tank treatment till around 11 or 12" big then convert the tank color to black to obtain the gold tone on yr aro scale.:smilin: :smilin:
