i have two flowerhorns male of size 10 inch and female of size 7 inch i kept both of them in a 50 gallon tank with a glass seperator for one week
and let it together for two days there was no fight between them but on the third day themale attacked the female
but female started showing sings of breeding ,it got black stipes on it colour became bright but from fifth day the female started attacking the
male now i seperated both from the tank and i am having this female for about 6 months but i had not even laid egg once
.what should i do now please help me :wphew scared: :stunned: :stressed:

well when breeding FH. they are going to fight but not in the sense that they want to kill each other. ( they will lip lock ) many times over this is just part of breeding.
side note ( not all male and females will pair up )trust me on that. Ive had pairs that wouldn't do the nasty. they just fight and beat each other up.
now for starters get you'r self some egg crates. then divide the tank to where the female can travel through it but the male can't also move the divider too the one side of the tank. you want it to be just enough to let the female get to the other side and be able to turn around thats it.
I will post a short video tonight after I get off of work to show what Ive done in the past for breeding. hope this will help you out in the breeding of you'r fish.

For me i just throw the male n female together let them pair themself so far this works my flowerhorn paired up n have not much of fighting

:grin smile: Compared to each other before the glass to see the two together. Women with symptoms until the time out to spawn and then gradually released toward men. If left together all the fish will attack each other can not breed together.:grin smile:

now i had changed my female flowerhorn and both has paired now but my female is no laying eggs how many days it will take to lay eggs after pairing up i also want symptoms before laying eggs

:vistory smile: The eggs are about 15-20 times a day, but depending on the care of their own party that the maintenance of fish, how well will have to cool it for breeding fish for good luck.:vistory smile:
