Can money buy happiness??

My wife told my 10 yo daughter that money cannot buy happiness, but my daughter argued otherwise, she argued that money can buy happiness, eg a drepressed person can use money to seek treatment to make him happy. :p

My wife could not counter argue, haha. What do u think, what is your arguement?
