For the very first time in Singapore, the Singapore International Salsa Festival 2006 (SISF) will be taking place 13th to 15th October!

Come experience workshops and performances by top salsa instructors from the US, Europe and around the region (see below for list of workshops, instructors & performers confirmed to date).

And also for the 1st time here, a 12-piece salsa band will be flown in from the US - Johnny Polanco Y Su Conjunto Amistad will be playing live at the festival!

UNION SQARE is proud to be the presenter for the Singapore International Salsa Festival 2006. Co-organized by Quebec Leisure International (Singapore), JJSalsaRengue (Singapore), and renowned international Salsa congress and festival producer Albert Torres Productions (Los Angeles, USA), and with the support of the salsa schools in Singapore, this will definitely be an event not to be missed.

* Over 20 salsa workshops will be held on Sat 14 & Sun 15 October from 11am to 5pm. Instructors confirmed to date include Edie the Salsa Freak (US), Super Mario (UK), Susana Montero (UK), Cobo Brothers & Moraima Cobo (US), Joseph Ennin (Hong Kong), Gavin Chan (Malaysia), and instructors from JJSalsaRengue, Attitude Dance Studio, Dance En Motion & Actfa.

* Johnny Polanco Y Su Conjunto Amistad - a 12-piece salsa band from Los Angeles will be playing live at the party on Sat 14 October. Party nites are Fri 13 Oct, Sat 14 Oct and Sun 15 Oct with live & DJ music.

* Salsa performers confirmed to date -- Edie the Salsa Freak (US), Cobo Brothers (US), Susana Montero (UK), Gavin Chan (Malaysia), Singapore dance teams from the following salsa schools -- JJSalsaRengue, Attitude Dance Studio, Dance En Motion, Actfa. More to come....

* Singapore will attempt to dance the largest Salsa Casino Rueda on Sun 15 October to make it to the Guinness Book Record. Those interested to dance the rueda need to pre-register for purposes of application to the Guinness Book Record - details will be out soon & will be forwarded to all salsa schools in Singapore.
