if u can take without the flash will be better, was at the IT Show and there was a presentation on how good FujiFilm Fine Pix camera is, the new model has very high ISO value, ie it makes the camera super sensitive to the background lighting, eg if u take a night shot with say a lighted background, if u use flash, the pic of the person will be over-exposed and u cannot see the background clearly. With high ISO value, u can do away with flash and the pic appears natural with background showing, just like what u see with your naked eyes. Of cos this is nothing new, just like taking photos in the older days using high ASA film.

a good dg cam will help 50%:)Equipments is important, but still the skill is essential, without it, no matter how good is the camera also useless :)

Can you advice what camera model you are using?
Hmmm......my opinion is if you can turn on the light inside the tank and the flashes light will not be so obvoius or using a tissue paper to block the slight reflection of the flash or increase your ISO to 1600 and turn off light and just your fish tank light will do or you can take it at another angle to prevent reflection of the glass light. Overall nice picture taken and nice fishes too.
Can I know what is the real name of the second picture under the gold fish? I have seen one that is about 1.5ft size?

Ooppp........ I didn't check before sending the message.
What I mean is that I have called one of the fish shop I usually buy all my fish food and accessaries from to help to reserve 2 pieces of ST. There are many times I saw this ST selling in his shop but I did not buy it. He told me that nice and quality ST is not easy to import now. Anyway, I have told him to look for about 2" to 3"ST as do not want anything bigger. Preferred to keep and grow them from young.
Sorry for the typing error.

Bro, I like this one as flash glare not so strong and composition is good.
Try using natural lighting without flash otherwise skin pattern gone, of course higher ISO helps a bit except a bit more noise. If your camera allows you to use shutter priority, then minimum 1/15s with a tripod works well.
