Yesterday afternoon went to Qian Hu to pick up my crossback with bro Snipery. Brought the fish back, put the whole plastic bag in the tank for half a n hour, then opended up the bag and check the pH, about 7.5, the water in my tank is about 7.8 so pretty close. Slowly add my tank water into the plastic bag, when the plastic bag is almost full, slowly release the fish into the tank. Ketapng leaves and cloured ping pong balls added into the tank before hand :) Filter media (bacteria house, biohome, mineral rocks, ceramic rings) had been recylced from my goldfish tank. Will monitor the ammonia level once feeding starts.
In order to make it stablise faster, I have used a piece of cloth to cover the front of the tank. No feeding for the time being. Size of fish is about 6in.
Any other advise is most welcome. Sorry no pic yet. :stick_out_tongue:

Hi there bro congrats on your new purchase. I would suggest that you do not cover the front of the tank with the cloth. This will make the fish very timid in future when you remove the cloth. Maybe you can just add in a little blackwater to stablise the aro.

For xb i would advise not to keep in katapang leave water. For a start maybe use to calm the aro down but after first use change water slowly and try not to add in anymore. Keep your xb in clear water. It will aid the developement faster.

there is a small ketapang tree in my office compound in Kallang, it is a young tree so the leaves are smaller than the one you will find at the road side

We want more!!!!!!!!! Part two please.
BTW, may be you can move backward a bit when shooting your video. So that we can see the aro swimming in the 4-feet tank in FULL view. Just my 2 cents.

We are all learning. You have a nice piece of xb. Feed it more during the juv period and let it grow to the max potential. Once it hit 14-15'' then slow down. Cos young aros can really eat a lot.
