How much you spend on discus for the past 1 year? What is your annual budget you set aside to buy discus?
For me, the past 2 years, i spent $500 each year for discus. And my annual budget also $500. So far, I still quite dicipline in buying discus - buying within my budget.

When we are new, we tend to less discipline. I think this have to do with lack of knowledge in choosing and buying discus. Lack of space, but unlimited "wants".
I used to buy some discus, which i think is nice at that moment. But some time down the road, after have better knowledge, i regreted of my choice. Another so call common mistake, is buying for the sake of buying without knowing what exactly what you want, ie for collection or breeding. And between collection and breeding, breeding most of the time which confused you to make a wrong decision, ie bought wrong fish for breeding, or bought at wrong price.

black disease also commonly known as slime. Its usually triggered by the addition of new fish in an old tank. Fish will turn black with its body slime coming out in pieces and sheets, and they will all clump together as if they cold .
