Hey thanks for the reply! :) just wondering is it worth breeding him? Or I should get a better male? Hehe!
since its your recent comeback....and for some fish keeping fun, u can try him out after another 6 months. This is bcos he looks too young to breed. Its better to keep males for 1 yr where they r mature for breeding.
your male has some weakness, to be direct n frank. but its better to state n share to get things done rite from start rather then to let u waste time at later stages. the weakness is lower jaw is protuding abit out, and tail kind of mid size.:smilin:
u can get a female with wide board fan tail and close mouth to cross this male once he is matured.
or u may wish to get another bigger male at about 8-9 inch size (without tail) with better finnage n wide tail n mouth close type(means upper n lower jaw flush)
hope it helps. however your fish is nice n potential for good head, enjoy n happy flowerhorn keeping:yeah wink:
wait for it to be more mature:smilin:

Will know the time you spend on them during the breeding progress.
Its fun during the breeding but you must get a good female to pair with him.
Good Luck.

Bro Chewy87,
This is the Male ZZBreed and is still young for breeding. My opinion is you need to groom it around 8 months times when mature and then you can start breeding it. Find the good female to pair it up.
My suggestion is if you really into breeding, better use the Malau Male not this ZZMale due to ZZMale drop tail percentages is very high when mature. The offspring will have high percentage carry through the drop tail genes due to ZZ Genes is always stronger than other breeds. Hopefully this will enchanted your breeding project and wish you will success in your upcoming breeding projects. Please keep post and share here if you already successed in your breed project."Happy FlowerHorning"
