Newbie in LH, hope bros can teach me to choose a small 3~4" LH.
Wish to have a big kok kok head, colorful (prefer more red), short body one. Which breed I should go for? where I can buy?

Thank you bro. I had a few cheap cheap one purchased during the peak period, all died due to inexperience. Want to get something like the Flowerhorn-Hub icon. :embarrassed:

Currently LFS selling at 128, 168, 188, 200, 388, 588. Two types, pearl flowerhorn that can go more than 6". The lastest batch maximum abt 6" but very kok at 3". It's new breed. Easy to show you good one but budget another story liao.

$ 288 for this, 2"+ only, got pendian, kok and short body, pic by HP so not so clear ;

U can try those tikum first... get 1 or 2pcs. then from there u TLC... few month... :wink:

Bro, "tikum" is malay word meaning "luck draw" originated from kampong times ...

when we ar younger, we use to buy those ticket with numbers from mama stall, then tear open to see what number then check what prize (toy) we strike. kekee, quite fun ... :stick_out_tongue:

So in this case of choosing small fries from a batch, we say "tikum tikum" means choosing one from within, with experience or luck, maybe can get a nice nice piece with good nurturing skills ...

this is also what I like about LH ... :geeked: the fun and excitement is there. :wink:

Bro, recommend you to start from atleast 2", excluding the tail ...

can see more precise development, higher percentage for "tikum" ...

IMO, 1" is really small, you'll probably need a smaller tank to house it first ...
