Yeah we're all gearing up for 2010!!! DON'T MISS IT...

table mountain alone is a world heritage site - 5000 species of plants found NOWHERE else in the world. And Cape Town is of course the MOTHER city of South Africa - this is where our history all started - well worth a visit.

And our landscapes are quite unique. In a days travel, one could literally experience 100's of different types of vegetation and landscapes...

TRULY a unique country i am lucky enough to live in...

AND EVERYBODY'S WELCOME HERE...  in Sunny South Africa

Hi bro Guppyfan, why you say "sadly in South Africa guppies are misunderstood and NOT appreciated" ????

in all the forums here people are not interested in Guppies. It is generally believed that Guppies are boring and only good as feeder fish... most people here (in SA) like Cichlids, angels, etc.

Guppies are seen as cheap fish and are used to Cycle tanks. I suppose it is because they're not educated about Guppies. They don't know the strains that are available and one can certainly NOT find ANY pure strains at the LFS's in SA.

So it is almost IMPOSSIBLE top get good quality Guppies here. Also there are no SHOWS in South Africa either. People are just not interested... :crying:

so I guess you will have lots of challenging work to try to market guppies to your fellow countrymen
